Melissa Moreno, LCSW-R, a licensed clinical social worker practicing with over 15 years of experience providing behavioral health services to teenagers and young adults who have been adjudicated as juvenile delinquent. She is licensed to practice in the states of New York, Arizona, Maryland, Florida, and Colorado.
Melissa earned her master’s degree in Social Work from New York University and has spent the last 19 years training in various treatment techniques, such as DBT, Family System Theory, trauma informed care milieu models such as Sanctuary, CBT, Humanistic, Attachment Repair, and Narrative therapies. She uses holistic, eclectic and mindfulness-based psychotherapy approaches to help foster healing, self-discovery, and transformation. She is a highly skilled and trained expert in the field of trauma informed care and treatment with a focus on crisis management, skill building, managing symptoms and inner child complex trauma healing.
